Ingredients for:

  • 200 g flour
  • 1 1/4 tsp dry yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp oregano
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 100 ml lukewarm water
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 125 g greek yogurt

To prepare these breadsticks, in a large bowl first mix the dry yeast with lukewarm water, 3 tablespoons of olive oil and sugar. Then let the mixture sit about 10 minutes at room temperature.

After that, mince the garlic clove with a garlic mincer and then add it with the flour, oregano and salt to the dry yeast mixture in the bowl. Now start to knead the dough for about 10 minutes. If the dough is sticky, add more flour to it until it is forming into an elastic ball and it pulls away from the sides of the bowl.

Next divide the dough in 10 small balls. Then on a lightly floured surface, roll each ball into a log that is about 25 cm long and place them on baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Make sure to leave sufficient space between each breadstick because they will expand during baking. After that, cover them with a cloth and let the breadsticks rise for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, brush them with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and sprinkle them with sea salt.

Then bake the breadsticks in preheated oven to 200 ºC for 20 minutes until they are lightly golden. Finally mix the greek yogurt with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and serve the breadsticks with it.
