Ingredients for:
Potato Cakes

  • 1 potato (large)
  • 1 onion (medium)
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric


To prepare this appetizer, first peel and then grate the potato and onion. Then pour them in a fine mesh strainer and with a spoon try to squeeze out excess liquid from the onion and potato.

Now in a bowl mix the eggs with salt and turmeric first. Then add the grated onion and potato to them and mix them well. After that, put a little frying pan (14 cms) over medium-high heat and fry the potato cakes with olive oil.
