Strawberry Crumble

Strawberry Crumble is a very delicious and simple dessert made with flour, butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, raspberries, and strawberries.

Ingredients for Strawberry Crumble

  • 400 g flour
  • 160 g unsalted butter
  • 450 g strawberries
  • 100 g raspberries
  • 8 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 orange


To make this flavorful dessert, in a large bowl, combine the butter ( it should be cold ) with the flour by hand using a pastry blender until pea-sized lumps are formed.

Then wash the orange thoroughly and grate its skin with a Microplane or a grater. After that, wash the strawberries and raspberries. Then remove the green stems from the strawberries and cut them in half. Next, in a medium-size bowl, add the strawberries, raspberries, orange zest, cinnamon, and 7 tablespoons of brown sugar and mix them.

After that, line a 24 X 20 cms rectangular-shaped baking tray with parchment paper. Then pour half of the flour crumble onto the baking tray and press and shape it evenly with the back of a spoon. Next, pour the prepared strawberry and raspberry filling over the flour crumble and spread them in an even layer. Now add the rest of the flour crumble on top of the strawberries and raspberries to completely cover them.

Finally, sprinkle 1 tablespoon of brown sugar on top of the Strawberry Crumble and bake it in the preheated oven to 200º C for 40 minutes until it is golden brown on top.

Notes: You can serve the Strawberry Crumble warm or at room temperature with ice cream, with whipped cream or just with cream. Also, instead of raspberries, you can add blackberries.
