Ingredients for Garlic Butter Beans

  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 lemon
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt


To prepare these garlic butter beans, soak the beans in water for 12 hours. Then cook them in boiling water for 30 minutes and after that drain them.

Now with a grater or zester, grate the lemon peel. The gentle, bitter perfume of the lemon zest makes this side dish really delicious. Then with a garlic mincer, mince the garlic.

Next in a frying pan over medium-high heat, add the olive oil, the butter beans, lemon zest, minced garlic and salt and fry them all together for about 3 minutes. Then your side dish is ready to serve.
