Ingredients for:
Coconut Date Balls

  • 150 g dates (seeded)
  • 30 g shredded coconut
  • 80 g cashews
  • 100 g rolled oats
  • 30 g sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp cacao powder
  • 4 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt

Instructions

To prepare this snack, add the dates, cashews, rolled oats, sesame seeds, cacao powder and salt into a food processor and process them for about 1 minute. Then add the olive oil and honey and blend all the ingredients together until a slightly sticky paste forms.

After that, line a baking tray with parchment paper first. Then wet the palm of your hands with water and then shape the date paste into little balls by pressing and rolling them between your palms. Then roll them into shredded coconut and place them on the baking tray.

Now bake the coconut date balls in preheated oven to 180 ºC for 15 minutes.

Note: Instead of cashews, you can add walnuts or almonds, and instead of honey, you can use maple syrup in this recipe.
