Focaccia with Cherry Tomatoes

Ingredients fo Focaccia with Cherry Tomatoes

  • 125 g flour
  • 5 g dry yeast
  • 75 ml lukewarm water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 sugar
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 12 cherry tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil


To prepare this focaccia with cherry tomatoes, first pour the flour, dry yeast, salt and sugar in a large bowl and mix them with a wooden spoon. Then little by little add the lukewarm water to the dry ingredients and start to knead the dough until all ingredients are evenly combined for 5 minutes.

Now grease your hands with olive oil and shape the dough into a ball and then transfer it to another bowl and oil it lightly. After that, cover the dough with a cloth and leave it in a warm place for 30 minutes or until it is doubled in size.

After 30 minutes and once the dough has risen, gently deflate it using your hands. Then divide the dough in 2 equal parts and shape them into two 30 cm rounds.

Next brush the doughs with olive oil, cut the cherry tomatoes in half and then add them with oregano to the prepared doughs.

Preheat the oven to 180 ºC and bake the focaccias for 20 minutes until they are lightly golden.
